CWF Wine Festival 2011

 

Cowichan Wine and Culinary Festival 2011 — 

We had a great weekend!  We are known as one of the wineries where the party and festivities happen.  We heard it again this year by all who came by….so to make that happen, I would like to thank our volunteers:

 

Larry, Jan, Arloene, Darcy, Ken, Krista, Lynda, Helga, Willy, Dick, Sue, Xavi, Valerie, Robin, Katherine, Kathryn, James and Brian

 

 

Then, Cowichan Valley is loaded with other places to visit along with the wineries and we would like to thank them for coming this weekend and showcasing what is so great about the valley.  Thank you for your time and enthusiasm!  Buy Local and Support Local!  Think of us for the holidays.  Mark and I would like to thank:

 

  • Stonefield Farms for the partnership in creating local snack packs and the cooking demos.  Your Smoked Chicken, Beef and Lamb Sausage are to die for!
  • Farm’s Gate Food and Catering Truck for the fabulous food which goes to show you can have no excuse that you need a huge kitchen to cook great foods.  Loved the fritters and heirloom tomatoes!
  • Troy Townsin - Book signing of your cookbooks Mark just loves.  Now we can also start selling our calendars Winery Dogs of BC…our dog Tawny on the cover.  Thanks for spending the day here!
  • Island Thyme Morris Dancers for their enthusiasm and energy in the vineyard.  Great traditional dance and also the history of helping the harvest.  So we’ll see!  It was just a great place to dance and the costumes were a bright edition to the weekend.

 

Vendors in the Vineyard

  • KellyGlass - 2nd year and keep coming!  Hand painted glass.  You’ll be seeing some vases in our shop and at dinners.
  • Karaehe Designs - Functional Fusion Glassware - nice jewellery and will enjoy my wine bottle cheese plate!
  • Legacy Farms - 2nd year again.  Chutneys and garlic garlic garlic…more than I know.  So wonderful to cut!
  • Island Crafts - 2nd year again.  Thanks for the jewellery the girls loved it and your wonderful embroidered linens.
  • Presentation Woodworking - Absolutely stunning wood bowls.  Will be serving cheese and appys from your wood plate for our dinners. 

Great wines! Great People! Great Experiences!  This is really what we do always but more so at the festival.
