Christmas is coming
Okay, it’s December so I can finally start facing up to the fact that we’re fast approaching the holidays.
Our outdoor lights are all up (come by the winery near closing time and you’ll get to see them all lit up). For once I’m not the last person getting them hung up - we put half up two weeks ago, and the other half on the weekend. We’ve moved over to LED’s (other than a couple of strings we inherited with the property, and couldn’t be bothered to take down) and we’ve even installed some Solar LED lights. I’m curious to see how they work in the winter. I love the new LED’s, I can run 20 strings all daisy-chained and not worry about popping a circuit breaker. At 1.5W per string, even 20 strings is only 30W…. We also installed some flood lights to illuminate they way between the parking lot and the tasting room.
I’ve also put a turkey in the freezer. Starting to think about Christmas baking even.
But most of all, I can tell because our calender is fast filling up, and starting to generate conflicts. Trying to make your daughter’s Christmas concert, then bolt off, catch a ferry & attend a work lunch in Vancouver. such is the season “peace on earth” - doesn’t feel very peaceful some days…
I’m looking forward to Christmas - really. After the rush, we’ll have a couple of months of relative peace and quiet. Which we need after the busy summer and fall, with a last push up until Christmas.
Hope your Christmas season is a good one.

Is it possible to buy some of the Blackberry and have it shipped to Cortes Island? Canada Post would likely be the best way. Some friends brought some over last night and it is the only Port I have ever enjoyed and it was excellent!!!

We do ship, but only in full cases (we have special shipping boxes which we are confident will survive the trip). Otherwise there is a list of private stores which carry our product at http://www.rockycreekwinery.ca/wines/finding-our-wines/
