For anyone not on our email list, you may have missed the fact that we hosted our first annual Valentine’s day winemaker’s dinner in the winery building itself.

It was a great night, and one we’re very proud of.  But the lead up to it was incredible.  First, we transformed the main winery room (normally my industrial tank/barrel storage room) into an incredible eating venue. 

Beautiful candles illuminating everything (wall sconces and candleabra), a little backlighting, some mirrors, beautiful decorations.   the first comment of our guests entering the room was WOW!

The we had some fantastic food - our caterer (Sean from Equinox Cafe & Catering) did an amazing job pairing dishes to our wines.

Lastly, we had some fantastic help - Our two girls - Robin & Katherine - did a great job helping to serve, as well as some of our friends and neighbors.

The only downside was that we had way more interest then we could accomodate in the space - seating was limited to 24, and that is indeed the maximum number we could fit in the space.

So thanks to everyone who attended, and those who helped out.  It was an incredible evening.  Of course it wiped me out for a week afterwards.

Look for an announcement on our next event - anyone up for a pig roast???
