Fall time

Well, after a great harvest it’s now time to clean up and get ready for winter.  We’re still punching down our Pinot Noir, should be pressing it in a week or so.  In the meantime I’ve been busy installing drywall in our attic space, hoping to get it finished in the next week or so.  We’re trying to catch up from a busy summer and harvest, too many little things around the property that need a little attention.  And only a little time before the weather turns ugly…

Our gardens are getting a trim, leaves are getting raked, we’ve planted a few grapes & an olive tree that replaced one that died last winter.

Last Friday we were in Nanaimo for their wine festival.  A really good turnout, and a fun evening all around.  Lots of people really seemed to enjoy the taste of our island grown wines.
