Valentines Dinner

So tonight we had an early Valentines dinner at one of our favourite restaurants, the Mahle house.

Thanks to my parents (they gave us a gift certificate); it was a great meal and a wonderful evening.

We started with a great romaine salad with blue cheese, pecans and beets, and lamb carpacchio.

Our mains - Linda had the peking duck breast and I had a great Striploin.  Wonderful food…. paired with a delicious wine a spanish syrah/grenache (kia montsant).  Finishing with a luscious chocolate cake (boca negra).

The food, wine and overall experience was amazing - many thanks to Tara at the Mahle house!
