Wild Blackberry BBQ Sauce


2 tbsp  Butter

1  Onion

3  Cloves Garlic

2 cups  Roma Tomatoes – Diced (canned or Fresh)

2 cups  Wild Blackberry

¼ cup  Ketchup

2 tbsp  Worcestershire sauce

2 tbsp  Brown sugar

2 tbsp  Honey

¼ cup  Molasses

1 tbsp  Dijon Mustard

3 tbsp  Chili powder

2  Chipotle Chilies – Canned*

To taste

Salt and Pepper

*You can substitute chilies or play with a variety


·  Heat butter in a heavy saucepan, cook onions & garlic until translucent (3-4 min)

·  Add tomatoes & Wild Blackberry wine, simmer for 10 minutes

·  Add all remaining ingredients and simmer for an additional 20 mins

·  Transfer to a food processor and puree.  Season with salt & pepper

·  Allow to cool to room temperature – can keep in the refrigerator for up to a week.
