Silver Medal Northwest Wine Summit
Bronze Medal All Canadian Wine Championships
Try our new release fermented in an alsatian style and holds a complex aroma of citrus, peach, gooseberry, and tropical fruits with hints of honey and vanilla. It showcases the local terroir and is a crisp, complex, flavourful wine with lively acidity. This is very crisp and refreshing for a wine.
Ortega is a wine that is hard to describe because of the earthy undertones but unique and worth trying. It can handle many spicy foods. Ortega goes very well with oysters, mushrooms, cheeses and bread. Try this with macaroni and cheese!
This varietal has won silver at the Northwest Wine Summit 3 years in a row, which was the highest award given for that varietal. Ortega is predominantly grown on Vancouver Island. This varietal was named after the Spanish philosopher who was admired by the man who developed the variety. Cheers!
