Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir 2009 - $25/bottle $264/Case
Silver Medal - Northwest Wine Summit!
ORDER NOW This Pinot seems to be recognized as one of the best reds on the island and exceptional. Our passion is to make reds that will do well and are 100% Vancouver Island! So far based on competitions, currently and in the past, is backing up these comments! Four medals out of 5 years, including 2 gold.
This wine has been oaked in 3 oaks, Primarily French and then touches of Hungarian and American, which enhances the wine but yet gives room for the fruit flavours that the traditional burgundy pinot noir is known for. It was our best harvest year for grapes and combining Mother Nature with the winemaker’s talents, we think so far this our best ever! Don’t miss out!
Everyone also comments on the fantastic aromas. It has a wonderful lingering aroma and finishes off with a hint of butterscotch. For a 2 year pinot, this wine is developing very nicely and already appears softer than our 2008! It has the fruit but also hints of cloves and pepper. Great now and will only get better with each month! The pinot noir is a red that is very versatile and goes with everything. Try it with spaghetti, pork or salmon.
Vancouver island red wine grapes are now winning awards because the style is very similar to the cool climate wines in Europe, such as Northern France. Taste what is true to the region and local. Cheers!
