We got our winter pruning started this weekend, finished the first 9 rows of our cab-foch.  Thanks to Robin and Katherine for the help.  It’s a little slower then our other vineyards, but it incorporates both the cutting and tieing down the vines so we are eliminating the second step.

We will be trying spur pruning with these vines which is normally how GDC (geneva double curtain) trained vines are pruned.  The good news is that the plant growth last year was good, so we should have a much bigger crop this year.
